Spilled ink-Installation

The work in progress features ink marks on pieces sumi paper mounted on the wall in cascading compositions. The series of paintings is accompanied by a video that documents the painting process seen from underwater.

The video and the sumi sheets are arranged in a room size installation that showcases the calligraphic utensils such as ink bottles, brushes, paper rolls and a pool of spilled ink.
