BETWEEN THE EYES: Stereographs

Instead of blackboxing the technology of stereoscopic renderings, the work showcases 3D-effects which arise from the interplay between binocular disparity and the convergence of the two eyes. The organically established link that connects the perceiving body with a particular sensation of depth is made explicit in allowing the viewer to experience stereoscopic views conditioned by an uncommon binocular setup peculiar to a body scheme different from ours.
How to define distance or proximity, when spatial articulations are ultimately determined by the viewer’s corporeal constitution? How do the latent bodily underpinnings appear in ordinary photographs?

The work experimented with varying the distance between the left-eye and the right-eye views
Distance between the two eyes ~10 meters
Distance between the two eyes ~0,5 mm
Distance between the two eyes ~5 meters
Distance between the two eyes ~20 cm
